Hi everyone,

I wonder if anyone can answer a few questions for me?
We are thinking of relocating to Perth, However I have Type 1 Diabetes (diagnosed 3 years ago) Can someone advise me what sort of control they would be expecting to get you through the medical. I am still struggling with masive highs & many hypos. Also if we were to be sucessful what is the situation with Insulin? Do you have to pay for all of you meds, testing strips, larncets etc?
Any advise would be very helpful
Thanks
Debsx

Hi Debs

You could check out www.medicareaustralia.gov.au, or contact them directly (Medicare is sort of equivalent to the NHS).

You could also check out some of the private medical health funds here, such as HBF or MediBank Private.

Hopefully, you'll be able to get some info from them.

x
