Any more advice regarding UK pension transfer since last year?
My bank (one of the major 4) seem to charge an arm and a leg for this service which they call a 'product entry fee' plus a big fat fee for 'financial advice' in the first place!!
Any good experiences out there and / or recommendations?

I got a severe shafting from CBA.

You could check out Superannuation Recall Consultants in Wangara and Mandurah. Not necessarily recommending them, but they were subsequently very helpful to me.

It is very important to let the pension provider that you want transferring that pension to Australia or leaving it in the UK to mature. Again this is where sensible financial advice comes into its own.

Upon attaining the age of entitlement, you may be able to access 100% of your funds tax-free.
Flexibility : You decide how to invest your funds for retirement.
Control : There is currently no requirement to buy an annuity at any time in New Zealand.
Tax : You may be able to withdraw 100% of your fund tax-free at retirement.Upon your death, funds may not be subject to any reduction or inheritance tax.
Proximity : Ongoing investment advice is crucial to maintaining an effective retirement portfolio. You and your Craigs Investment Partners Advisor can actively review and refine your investment portfolio to best meet your financial goals.
You should discuss the benefits of transferring your UK Pension with a Craigs Investment Partners Advisor as it may not always be in your best interests to transfer.
1) Subject to Qualifying Recognised Overseas Pension Schemes (QROPS) Terms and Conditions.
2) UK inheritance tax legislation is complex, please seek professional UK tax advice.
